Product Introduction

SPCC Cold Rolled Galvanized Low Carbon Steel Sheet is a popular material. It starts as SPCC low - carbon steel, which is cold - rolled for a smooth surface and better formability. Then, it's galvanized, adding a zinc coating. This coating not only enhances corrosion resistance but also improves durability. Widely used in automotive parts, electrical appliances, and construction, it offers a cost - effective solution with good strength and appearance.

FAQ

Q: What is SPCC steel?

A:SPCC is a Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS G 3141) designation for cold-rolled low-carbon steel sheets. When galvanized, it has a zinc coating for corrosion resistance.

Q:Where is SPCC galvanized steel used?

A:Automotive: Body panels, chassis parts.

Appliances: Refrigerators, washing machines.

Construction: Roofing, ducts, light structures.

Q:Does SPCC rust?

A:Non-galvanized SPCC: Rusts easily (needs oil/paint protection).

Galvanized SPCC: Resists rust (zinc acts as a barrier).

Measurement method: direct measurement with digital thickness gauge and at a distance of no less than 1 inch from the edge

Out of square

The out-of-square tolerance must be according to what is indicated in table 11 of the ASTM A568 standard.Out of square is the greatest deviation of the end of the edge from a straight line at right angles to one side touching the corner. It is also obtained by measuring the difference of diagonals. The out of square is half of this difference:The maximum out of square should be 1/16” per 6 inches width, that means, 1/8” / feet of width.

Measurement method: Direct measurement with tape measure
