High Quality Hot Rolled Carbon Steel Plate A572
High Quality Hot Rolled Carbon Steel Plate A572: Strength, Durability, and Versatility for Your Industrial Needs
Product Introduction
Our Hot Rolled Carbon Steel Plate A572 is a premium structural steel solution engineered to meet the rigorous standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). As a high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel, it offers exceptional mechanical properties—including superior yield strength (ranging from 345 MPa to 550 MPa across grades), excellent tensile strength, and reliable ductility—that make it ideal for load-bearing and high-stress applications.
Why Choose Our A572 Hot Rolled Carbon Steel Plates?
1. Uncompromising Quality & Compliance
We source raw materials from ISO 9001-certified mills and implement a rigorous, multi-stage quality assurance (QA) process:
Pre-production: Raw material inspection to confirm chemical composition meets ASTM A572 standards.
In-process monitoring: Real-time tracking of hot rolling temperatures and pressure to ensure uniform grain structure.
Post-production testing: Each batch undergoes tensile, yield, and elongation tests, with detailed Mill Test Reports (MTRs) provided for traceability.
Third-party validation: SGS and ASTM-accredited labs regularly audit our products to verify compliance, giving you confidence in every plate.
2. Customization for Your Exact Needs
We understand that no two projects are the same. Our flexible manufacturing capabilities include:
Custom thicknesses and widths (from 1220mm to 3000mm) to minimize waste and reduce fabrication time.
Surface treatments (shot blasting, priming) to enhance corrosion resistance and prepare plates for on-site welding/painting.
Fast turnaround: With a large in-stock inventory of popular grades (A572 Grade 50/60) and a 72-hour production lead time for custom orders, we keep your projects on schedule.
3. Competitive Pricing Without Sacrificing Quality
By optimizing our supply chain and leveraging bulk purchasing power, we offer market-competitive prices for A572 plates—without cutting corners on quality. We also provide volume discounts for large orders, helping you reduce project costs while maintaining performance.
FAQ
Q1: What’s the difference between A572 Grade 50 and Grade 60?
Grade 50 is the most versatile A572 grade, with a minimum yield strength of 345 MPa—it’s ideal for general structural projects like building frames and light machinery. Grade 60 offers a higher minimum yield strength (415 MPa) and is designed for heavy-duty applications that require greater load-bearing capacity, such as bridge girders, crane booms, and offshore platforms. Both grades offer excellent weldability, but Grade 60 may require slightly adjusted welding parameters to maintain strength.
Q2: Can A572 hot rolled steel plates be used in outdoor or corrosive environments?
Yes—A572 steel has inherent resistance to mild corrosion, but for outdoor, marine, or industrial environments with high humidity/salt exposure, we recommend additional protective coatings (e.g., galvanizing, epoxy painting). Our team can help you select the right coating based on your environment’s conditions to extend the plate’s service life.
Q3:What is your payment method?
Usually 30% TT deposit payment, 70% balance payment, special circumstances can be negotiated.
Measurement method: direct measurement with digital thickness gauge and at a distance of no less than 1 inch from the edge

Out of square
The out-of-square tolerance must be according to what is indicated in table 11 of the ASTM A568 standard.Out of square is the greatest deviation of the end of the edge from a straight line at right angles to one side touching the corner. It is also obtained by measuring the difference of diagonals. The out of square is half of this difference:The maximum out of square should be 1/16” per 6 inches width, that means, 1/8” / feet of width.
Measurement method: Direct measurement with tape measure
